PH Embassy Celebrates Philippine Independence Day 2023 with Filipino Community in Northern Greece

THESSALONIKI 19 June 2023 – As part of this year’s celebrations, the Philippine Embassy attended the Philippine Independence Day activity organized by the Filipino Organization in Northern Greece (FONG) held at Ergatiko Kentro in Thessaloniki, Greece on 11 June 2023.

During the event, Philippine Honorary Consul in Thessaloniki Mr. Nikolaos Margaropoulos read the message of President Ferdinand E. Marcos, Jr. on the 125th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence, while First Secretary and Consul Ms. Judy Barbara G. Robianes delivered the Independence Day Message on behalf of Ambassador Giovanni E. Palec.

The members of the Filipino community in Thessaloniki started the event with a parade of participants wearing the traditional Filipino attire, followed by performances showcasing Filipino songs and dances. END
