The event was graced by Jordan Minister of Agriculture Khaled Hneifat, as the Guest of Honor. In his remarks during the program, Ambassador Santos highlighted the deep-rooted ties between the Philippines and Jordan, enumerating the various fields in which the two countries have been cooperating such as defense, trade, and cultural ties. The Ambassador also thanked His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein for Jordan’s magnanimity as over 43,000 Filipinos make for themselves a second home in the Kingdom.
“For 47 years, our two nations have forged a partnership built on mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation. Our bilateral relations have flourished in various spheres, and the results of this collaboration have been truly remarkable. Our journey together has been characterized by friendship, understanding, and shared aspirations, and a testament to the power of diplomacy and the belief in the potential of nations working hand in hand. Together, we shall explore new avenues of cooperation, deepen our economic ties, expand cultural exchanges, and address global challenges as steadfast partners. Let us embrace the opportunities that lie ahead and seize them with unwavering commitment, for in the continued growth of our partnership, we will make our nations better prepared to confront the challenges of the 21st century," Ambassador Santos said.
