PH Ambassador Highlights Role of Business and Tourism During 125th Independence Day Event with German Businessmen in Stuttgart

STUTTGART 29 June 2023  – Addressing German businessmen during the 125th Independence Day celebration in Stuttgart, capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, Philippine Ambassador to Germany Irene Susan B. Natividad cited the big role played by business and tourism in promoting freedom and development as they encourage people-to-people connections and cultural understanding, drive economic growth, create employment opportunities, and enhance global cooperation. 

Ambassador Natividad recalled that the Germans were the country’s top visitors from Western Europe before the pandemic and invited German businessmen to come and visit the Philippines as the country is open again. She pointed to the very vibrant and robust relationship between the Philippines and Germany as shown by the recent visits of high-level officials from both countries. 

Other members of the Team Philippines in Germany present during the event hosted by Honorary Consul Dr. Axel Neumahr included Philippine Consul General to Frankfurt Marie Yvette Banzon Abalos, Commercial Counsellor Nicanor Bautista, Tourism Attaché Dakila Gonzales and Deputy Labor Attaché Delai Palomar.  END
