Sentro Rizal New York Issues Commemorative NFTs for 125th PH Independence Day
PHOTO: Sentro Rizal New York issued Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the declaration of Philippine Independence. Three digital art entries were converted into commemorative NFTs as an “Open Edition NFT” which was minted - for free - for 24 hours, beginning 12 midnight of Monday, 12 June 2023 until 11:59 of the same day. A total of 47 mints were made.
The commemorative NFTs feature original work representing the artist’s interpretation of celebrating their Philippine heritage. Through this project, Sentro Rizal New York aims to leverage emerging technologies and harness their potential in promoting Philippine identity, arts, and culture.
The technical advice and expertise of Ms. Kristina Tubera, one of the Fil-Am youth leaders at Post, were tapped, at no expense to Post, for this one-of-a-kind initiative.
