PH Consulate General in Macau Celebrates 125th Year of Philippine Independence with Filipino Community

MACAU 30 June 2023 –– The Philippine Consulate General in Macau, in partnership with the Filipino Community Alliance in Macau (FILCAM), successfully hosted on 25 June 2023 an event for the Filipino Community in celebration of Kalayaan 2023 with the theme “Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan” at the Colegio Diocesano de Sao Jose Auditorium. There were around 450 attendees at the event.
FILCAM Alliance Dancers prepared a special production number using the official theme song of the 125th Philippine Independence Day Celebration (PH125) multi-year commemoration “Samot-Saring IIsa” by Ken Charcos. Jollibee also performed for the attendees and raffled prizes off. Other community members also presented intermission numbers.
Migrant Workers Office and OWWA co-sponsored the event. Filipino global brands such as Jollibee, Philippine Airlines and BDO Remit also supported the event. Other sponsors were Caritas Macau, Precious Angel Dermcare, Luxiskin Beauty Center, Luxicare Dental Medical Center, Cebu Pacific Air, Afreight Door-to-Door Cargo, ASPIRA Properties Inc., Phirst Park Homes, SmarTone, CTM and United Macau Skeptron Society.
Two roundtrip business class airline tickets from Philippine Airlines and one roundtrip airline ticket from Cebu Pacific were also raffled off. A simple merienda cena was also shared with the community. END
