PH Embassy in Copenhagen Hosts 126th PH Independence Day Reception for the Diplomatic Corps and Business Community
COPENHAGEN 18 June 2024 – The Philippine Embassy in Denmark hosted the 126th Philippine Independence Day Reception for the diplomatic corps and the business community on 11 June 2024 at Sølyst - Den Kongelige Skydebane (Royal Copenhagen Shooting Society).
Renowned Filipino Pianist, Dr. Raul Sunico, entertained foreign Ambassadors, other members of the diplomatic corps, and representatives from the business sector through the following repertoire:
- Spanish Dance (Playera) - E. Granados
- El Puerto (from ‘Iberia’ Suite) - I. Albeniz
- Buhat - M. Velarde/arr. R. Sunico
- Kumintang - F. Buencamino
- Prelude in G-sharp minor, op. 32 no. 12 - S. Rachmaninoff
- Moment Musicale no. 4 in Em - S. Rachmaninoff
- Claire de Lune - C. Debussy
- Rhapsody in Blue - G. Gershwin
In his message, Ambassador Leo L. Herrera-Lim highlighted the unwavering commitment of the Filipinos to the values of freedom and democracy, which the Philippines has consistently articulated to the international community. END
