DFA Consular Office in Santiago City Celebrates 126th Anniversary of the Declaration of Philippine Independence, 6th Founding Anniversary

SANTIAGO CITY 26 June 2024 - The Consular Office of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) in Santiago City, Isabela Province celebrated the 126th Anniversary of Philippine Independence and its 6th Foundation Anniversary on 11 June 2024. 

Among the highlights included the video messages of Office of Consular Affairs Assistant Secretary Adelio Angelito S. Cruz, Consular Offices Coordinating Division Director Conrado Demdem, Jr., and Passport Acting Director Von Ryan G. Pangwi. The officials extended their felicitations and words of encouragement, much to the delight and appreciation of the CO personnel. 

The Head of Office, Mr. Hy-noon M. Galabay, delivered his own inspirational message, while also acknowledging, with great pride, the achievements of the CO, since its establishment in May 2018. In keeping with the occasion, he emphasized the importance of love for the country, and the CO’s role in providing efficient and quality consular services to the public. 

In recognition of their dedication and hard work, certificates were awarded to 18 CO personnel who reached their five-year milestone in the service. Additionally, six (6) CO personnel were commended for their exceptional work ethic, professionalism, and outstanding work performance that significantly contributed to the overall efficient operations of CO Santiago. The CO’s partner organizations were likewise recognized with Certificates of Appreciation for their respective contributions. 

Marking the joyous occasion was a feast of traditional Filipino dishes to underscore the cultural roots of the province. Indeed, the event was a remarkable moment for all personnel, celebrating another milestone for their beloved CO Santiago. END
