Filipino Community in Lahore, Pakistan Celebrates 126th Philippine Independence Day

ISLAMABAD 08 July 2024 – The Filipino Community (FilCom) in Lahore, Pakistan organized a cultural show and celebration of the 126th Philippine Independence and National Day at the Maisonette Hotel, Gulberg III Lahore on 30 June 2024.
Philippine Ambassador to Pakistan Maria Agnes M. Cervantes and Philippine Honorary Consul in Lahore Mr. Fahdel Sheikh, alongside other officers and staff from the Embassy, graced the event. During the program, various Filipino dances were showcased by the FilCom Group United OFW Lahore. An oath-taking activity of the officers of the Embassy accredited FilCom Organization United OFW Lahore was also done during the event.
Ambassador Cervantes expressed her congratulations to the United OFW Lahore for organizing a cultural show that engaged Filipinos in Lahore, Pakistan with the Philippine heritage and the essence of the commemoration in the liberties and freedom that the Filipinos enjoy to this day.
The activity was attended by 150 Filipinos, Pakistani spouses, and Filipino-Pakistani children. END
