PH Consulate General in San Francisco Holds Flag-Raising Ceremony in Commemoration of Philippine Independence Day

SAN FRANCISCO 23 June 2025 — The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco held a flag-raising ceremony in commemoration of the 127th anniversary of the proclamation of Philippine independence on 12 June 2025 at the Kalayaan Hall of the Philippine Center in San Francisco.

Consulate General officers and staff, including representatives from the Philippine Department of Tourism in San Francisco and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center–Silicon Valley, attended the event.

This year’s commemoration carries the multi-year theme “Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan.” Video messages from Secretary for Foreign Affairs Enrique A. Manalo, Secretary Christina G. Frasco of the Department of Tourism, Vice President Sara Z. Duterte, First Lady Liza A. Marcos and President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. were featured during the program.

After the flag ceremony, the Consulate remained open to the public to provide consular services to its clients. END
