PH Embassy in Saudi Arabia Holds 127th Independence Day Celebration

RIYADH 10 July 2025 — The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh proudly hosted a national day reception in celebration of the 127th Independence Day of the Republic of the Philippines on 03 July 2025 at the InterContinental Hotel, Riyadh.
The event was graced by the presence of distinguished members of the diplomatic corps, local business partners, esteemed friends, and representatives of the vibrant Filipino community in the Kingdom.
The Embassy was further honored by the attendance of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulrahman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Vice Governor of Riyadh, who served as the evening’s esteemed guest of honor.
The undersigned, during his welcome remarks, highlighted the significance of Philippine independence and nationhood, with the theme “Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan.” He also emphasized the strong bilateral relations between the Philippines and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, reaffirming the commitment to further strengthen cooperation in various fields. Lastly, the undersigned also stated that the Embassy remains committed to its role to promote the Philippines’ interests and serve all Filipinos living and working in the Kingdom.
Guests were serenaded by CIC Chorale, an all-Filipino choir based in Riyadh, and delighted by a spirited performance of the tinikling, the Philippines’ iconic bamboo dance, brought to life by the Riyadh Dance Community.
Adding to the cultural richness of the celebration was a captivating exhibit of artworks by Filipino visual artists from Hagod Filipino Visual Artists, Kulay Pinay, and WADE, as well as a display of select Filipino delicacies and products that showcased the country's diverse cultural and culinary heritage.
