“Jose Rizal”  Movie at PHL Embassy in The Hague

29 December 2017  - The Philippine Embassy in The Hague (The Hague PE) commemorated the 121st anniversary of the martyrdom of the country’s national hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal with the daily showing at its Consular Section’s  public receiving area  of  the movie ‘’Jose Rizal.’’ Top photos: The movie  gave  Filipinos, former Filipinos and members of their families a glimpse of Rizal’s life’s struggles and challenges that led to nationalistic movements towards the country’s independence from its colonial masters. Bottom photos:  A reading by the Embassy personnel of Rizal’s poem Mi Ultimo Adios, translated in Tagalog by Andres Bonifacio in Tagalog capped its commemoration of Rizal’s martyrdom.
