PH Embassy in Brunei Commemorates 127th Martyrdom of Dr. Jose Rizal

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN 04 January 2024 – In commemoration of the 127th year of martyrdom of national hero Jose Rizal, the Philippine Embassy in Bandar Seri Begawan organized a flag raising ceremony and a book donation turn-over ceremony to the Sentro Rizal Brunei on 30 December 2023.
As part of the commemoration, two books reflecting the occasion’s spirit of honor and patriotism were donated to Sentro Rizal Brunei.
The Knights of Rizal Foreign Service Chapter, represented by Sir Alec Chrisanti A. Arenas, turned over the book: “Rizal in Saga” by Nick Joaquin, and was accepted by Chargé d’ Affaires Pete Raymond V. Delfin.
The book, “But for the Lovers” by Wilfrido D. Nolledo was also donated to Sentro Rizal Brunei by Chargé d’ Affaires Pete Raymond V. Delfin and received by Cultural Officer Mayla M. Perez. END
