PH Consulate General in Chongqing Commemorates 128th Death Anniversary of Dr. Jose Rizal

CHONGQING 06 January 2024 – Philippine Consul General to Chongqing Ivan Frank M. Olea led the flag ceremony and wreath laying rites in commemoration of the  128th death anniversary of Dr. Jose Rizal on 30 December 2024.

The ceremony was followed by a film showing of “Jose Rizal: Sa Landas ng Paglaya”, a documentary film produced by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines. The struggles of Dr. Jose Rizal against Spanish colonization and his selfless sacrifice to fight for our freedom and independence continue to inspire generations of Filipinos around the globe.

Consul General Olea was joined by the consulate general personnel and other dependents. END
