PHL Embassy in Ottawa Culminates Celebration of National Women’s Month

03 April 2018 OTTAWA – The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa, Canada, in celebration of the 2018 National Women’s Month, organized a simple lunch at the Chancery in recognition of, and a gesture of appreciation for, the valuable contribution of women colleagues, headed by Ambassador Petronila P. Garcia, serving the Philippine Foreign Service.

Deputy Chief of Mission Francisco Noel R. Fernandez spearheaded the arrangements for the lunch which started with a reading of Maya Angelon’s poem entitled “Phenomenal Women” to highlight women’s individual and collective strength and their importance to the government, the Foreign Service, and to the entire nation as well.
