PHL Embassy Celebrates Women’s Month with a Skills Training Activity

Vienna Womens Month 1

Philippine Ambassador to Austria Maria Cleofe R. Natividad impresses on the participants the importance of women in changing society's landscape

04 April 2018 VIENNAThe Embassy and Permanent Mission celebrated Women’s Month with a skills training activity targeted at the women in the Filipino community on March 23. The activity equipped the participants with skills on basic skin care and cosmetology which they can later build on for livelihood purposes; the activity also enabled them to better present themselves aesthetically, in their communities.

Philippine Ambassador to Austria Maria Cleofe R. Natividad reminded the participants of the important role women play as stakeholders and contributors to the country’s development goals.  She hoped that the skills they take away from the activity will help empower and inspire them to aspire more and do more.

The skills training activity, which was met with much enthusiasm, was well attended with participants coming from all over Austria. The event was such a hit that, even before it concluded, inquiries were already being fielded in on when the next skills training will be.

After the awarding of certificates of appreciation and participation, the Embassy personnel and the participants happily bonded together over pansit, chicken, sandwiches, vegetable lumpia and pastries. END
