26 July 2016 – The Philippine Consulate General in New York, in cooperation with volunteers led by Mr. Rudy Hermosa, delivered consular services to Filipinos in Massachusetts on July 09 to 10. The 9-person consular team was headed by Consul Kerwin Tate. The team served the needs of the large Filipino communities in Massachusetts and the neighboring states, who had been looking forward to the consular outreach.
The venue of the outreach was the VFW hall in Needham, Massachusetts. The consular staff had set up very early in order to serve the needs of the large crowds that avail of the services of the outreach. The team was not disappointed, as hundreds of applicants arrived to avail of various services like passport renewals, dual citizenship, legalization of documents and civil registry reports. The atmosphere was very pleasant, as Mr. Hermosa’s team has had many years of experience in hosting outreach missions, and had prepared accordingly to provide organized and efficient flow for the clientele.
For the two days that the team was in Needham they managed to provide service to all the clients who came for assistance, and ended up with a total of 273 services rendered for Filipinos in Massachusetts and the neighboring areas. END
