01 August 2016 – Philippine Ambassador and Permanent Representative Maria Zeneida Angara Collinson met with Dr. Dieter Siegel, Chief Executive Officer of Rosenbauer International AG, the world’s largest manufacturer and exporter of fire trucks, at the company headquarters in Leonding, Federal State of Upper Austria, Austria on July 29.

Ambassador Angara Collinson and Dr. Siegel had a fruitful exchange of views on strengthening economic relations between the Philippines and Austria. Dr. Siegel noted that Rosenbauer is looking towards expansion in emerging economies and in supplying airport firefighting units in newly-opened airports in the Philippines.

Ambassador Angara Collinson expressed gratitude as well for Rosenbauer’s contribution to the capacity-building program of the Bureau of Fire Protection which started in 2011. She also invited Dr. Siegel to be part of the Philippine Embassy’s network of chief executives of Austrian companies with business in the Philippines. END
