09 August 2016 — Philippine art galleries participated in Art Stage Jakarta on August 05 alongside 49 international and Indonesian galleries.  Among the Philippine galleries that participated in the event are Galerie Joaquin, Finale Arts File, the Drawing Room, Galerie Stephanie Jay Yao and Element Art Space.

Art Stage is a prestigious art event in Indonesia known for showcasing the works of some of the most promising international artists and the collections of selected galleries.

Galerie Joaquin Group Managing Director Jack Teotico invited the Philippine Embassy to be the Guest of Honor during the opening. Galerie Joaquin presented the works of National Artists Arturo Luz, Federico Aguilar Alcuaz and Abdulmari Imao in an exhibit entitled “Lines of Modernity: A Collection of Works by Select Philippines’ National Artists and Modernist Masters.”

Finale Art File displayed the works of Catalina Africa, Annie Cabigting, Nicole Coson, Lyra Garcellano and Liv Vinluan. Drawing Room presented the works of Manual Ocampo Jigger Cruz.

Galerie Stephanie, on the other hand, showcased the works of Reybert Ramos, Vincent De Pio and Aileen Lanuza.

Art Stage Jakarta was held from August 05 to 07 and will be followed by Art Bazaar on the last week of August 2016 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel. An International Art Fair will take place in October 2016. END
