10 August 2016 — The Oceanographic Museum of Monaco is currently featuring the Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park in 360° immersive experience.
The footage used for the virtual reality experience was taken during the State Visit of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco to PH in April this year.
The initiative led by Prince Albert II is meant to raise awareness on the issue of sea turtles.
The 360˚ video exhibition, viewed through a mobile phone attached to a virtual reality headgear and a headphone, is available in French and English. The video features a mix of footage of Prince Albert’s expedition, including the boat ride to the site, the Prince’s interaction with Filipino locals, underwater footage of marine life as well as the tagging of sea turtles for the Oceanographic Institute’s scientific research.
Representatives from the Philippine Embassy in France and the Department of Tourism office in Frankfurt had the opportunity to visit the exhibition on August 05. The exhibit will run until August 31. For more information, visit the museum’s website: http://www.oceano.mc/en. END
