Founded in 1992, the UST Singers, under the baton of its founder and conductor, Prof. Fidel Gener Calalang Jr., is the University’s premier mixed choral ensemble. The choral group is composed of a select group of students and alumni representing the different colleges and faculties of UST. UST is Asia’s oldest university.
Since 1993, the UST Singers have won 80 top prizes in 23 international contests worldwide. The UST Singers hold the distinction of being the only choir in the world to have won the highly-coveted Choir of the World Grand Prize-Luciano Pavarotti Trophy twice—in 1995 and in 2010. END
