17 August 2016 - The Choreo ‘Capella 2016: Tour of the Americas, featuring the University of the Philippines Concert Chorus (UPCC), was successfully held at the Toronto International Celebration Church on August 13.

In CHOREO ‘CAPELLA 2016, the UPCC showcased their versatility in singing classical, folk, pop and broadway musical genres with their signature vibrant choreography. 

UPCC is the pioneer of ChoreoCapella or choreographed a capella in the Philippines as proven by their iconic performance. The group received a series of standing ovations from the audience during their performance in Toronto.

The Philippine Consulate General in Toronto supported the UPAAT in this meaningful endeavor in line with its objective of showcasing world class calibre of Filipinos in the field of music. 

The UP Concert Chorus has brought honor and pride to the country with its sterling and award-winning performances abroad. During the UPCC’s stint in Toronto, the Philippine Consulate General had the oportunity to invite the group to a welcome reception at the Consulate General.

Proceeds from the concert will go to the scholarship and educational funds of the UPAAT, which for the past several years, has been assisting well deserving UP scholars pursue their education.
