24 August 2016 – Consul General Julius D. Torres of the Philippine Consulate General in Calgary reported to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) that the Consulate and the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa held a joint consular outreach in Banff, Alberta from August 20 to 22 in coordination with the Filipino Organization of the Rocky Mountains (FORT) and ATB Financial (Banff and Canmore Branch).
The consular outreach was initiated by Mr. Benjie Lindo of Edmonton and the FORT group, which coordinated with Mr. Steven MacCuaig, Customer Service Manager (Canmore) of ATB Financial of Banff and Canmore. The ATB Financial bank provided the venue.
Consul General Torres headed the Consulate General team, while Philippine Ambassador to Canada Petronila P. Garcia led the Embassy team. The Consulate General’s staff served clients on August 20, and in the morning of August 21. They were able to process nearly 60 passport renewals, notarial services, and civil registration procedures. The Embassy staff provided consular services in the afternoon of August 21 and on August 22. END
