26 August 2016 – Officials of the Chittagong Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CMCCI) welcomed the Philippine Embassy team headed by Vice Consul and Third Secretary LV I. de Guzman during the latter’s visit to Chittagong on August 18.

The CMCCI Officials, led by its Vice President A.M. Mahbub Chowdhury, inquired on trade relations between the Philippines and Bangladesh and direct flight routes from Dhaka to Manila. Philippine Honorary Consul in Chittagong Mohammad Awwal discussed some of the trade products exported by Philippines that could be imported by Bangladesh and vice versa.

In general, the CMCCI Officials were keen to learn more on Philippines trade products and figures and the visit was a good opportunity for the Philippine side to convey its interest in enhancing bilateral relations with Bangladesh. END
