31 August 2016 — The Philippine Embassy in Yangon organized a Workshop on Counseling at the Philippine Chancery on August 27.

Ms. Corazon Melita C. Adalia, a gender-based violence response advisor for VSO Myanmar facilitated the workshop.

Ms. Adalia, with her 15 years of development experience, gave an overview of the psychology of victims of violence and discussed how to provide support and counseling to victims of gender-based violence.

The workshop is part of the part of the Embassy’s continuing Gender and Development (GAD) program.

Embassy personnel, Filipino teachers, and human resources practitioners in Yangon attended the workshop. END
