31 August 2016 — A team from the Philippine Consulate General in Chicago, headed by Consul General Generoso D.G. Calonge, conducted the Consulate’s 6th outreach for 2016 in Bismarck, North Dakota on August 27.
The team delivered consular services, such as processing ePassport applications, notarials, and applications for dual citizenship, to more than 100 Filipinos in Bismarck and other neighboring areas in North Dakota.
A brief program, which included remarks by Consul General Calonge, Mr. Lito Crisolo, CFC-Regional Head, and Congressman Kevin Cramer, North Dakota’s sole member in the House of Representatives, officially opened the outreach.
In his remarks, Mr. Crisolo thanked the Consulate General for conducting an outreach in North Dakota. Consul General Calonge, on the other hand, expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve kababayans in North Dakota. He also looked forward to discussing with Congressman Cramer issues that are of interest to Filipinos and Filipino-Americans not just in North Dakota but also in the US. He also gave assurance that any positive development that will arise out of his meeting with Congressman Cramer will be shared with the Filipino community in North Dakota.
Congressman Cramer informed those who were present during the outreach that the Philippine Consulate General in Chicago and his office are working closely together to address the needs and concerns of his Filipino and Filipino-American constituents in North Dakota. END
