08 September 2016 – A team from the Philippine Embassy in Ankara conducted a consular mission at Lazzoni Hotel in Istanbul from August 27 to 29. The mission was conducted as part of the monthly consular mission to Istanbul.

More than 155 Filipinos availed of the consular services extended by the consular team, which processed 36 ePassport applications, 14 notarials, three reports of birth, 15 Embassy ID applications, and one travel document. They also released 18 ePassports and 32 Embassy IDs. The consular team also addressed inquiries on requirements, processing, and fees on report of birth, report of marriage, and contract of employment

During the consular services, Consul General Robert Ferrer engaged the Filipinos present to participate in the activities occurring that day in celebration of Buwan ng Wika (Language Month).

As a sign of their support, the visiting consular team and their families attended the Filipino Community in Istanbul (FCT)-sponsored event, “Rock the Boat Party.” FCT’s president, Ms. Carmen Martin, organized the cruise on the Bosphorus as part of their organization’s annual fund-raising and celebration.
