13 September 2016 — Philippine Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Alfonso A. Ver met with members of the Bahrain Asian Traders Committee headed by its Chairman Mr. Mohammed Sajid and Vice Chairman Mr. Manoj N. Bhatia to discuss enhancing the cooperation between the BATC and the Embassy in order to further strengthen the economic ties between Bahrain and the Philippines.

The delegation expressed their interest to visit the Philippines to see the upcoming Manila FAME Exhibition and to meet with relevant government agencies and businesses in order to discuss trade and investment opportunities in Bahrain, as well as to learn about business opportunities in the Philippines.

Ambassador Ver welcomed the BATC members’ interest to promote Bahrain in the Philippines and relayed the Embassy’s commitment to work closely with BATC in order to coordinate mutually beneficial activities which could include exchange of information on trade activities and opportunities as well as a possible exchange of visits of business delegations from both countries.
