14 September 2016 – The Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong held its annual blood donation drive “Dugong Alay ng Pilipino” in cooperation with the Hong Kong Red Cross on August 14 at the Causeway Bay Donation Center.

Several Filipino associations as well as individual donors, including from other nationalities such as Indonesians, Chinese, and local residents, participated in the one-day blood donation drive. All participants were subjected to the donation center’s initial screening process prior to donating blood.

The Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong SAR supervised the entire activity, provided assistance to the donors and offered refreshments.

The Consulate plans to engage in more partnerships with the Hong Kong Red Cross to conduct more blood donation drives with OFWs. END
