Mos Mama 1

15 September 2016 — The Mama Sita Foundation hosted an intimate buffet reception at the Twin Pigs Restaurant in Moscow. This followed right after the turnover ceremony of Mama Sita commemorative stamps and cookbooks to the Russian State Library on September 13. 

Moscow-based Filipino chef Geronimo Reduta prepared Philippine culinary favorites using Mama Sita mixes and sauces -- chicken adobo, chicken sisig, lumpiang shanghai, pansit bihon, chicken barbeque, tuna empanada and champorado.

The Philippine Embassy invited a select number of potential distributors in Russia to take part in the food tasting, namely, Ms. Olga Biryukova, CEO of the Center for Eurasian Cooperation and Development (CESIR); Mr. Alex Makhalov, 7D Mango distributor in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States; and Ms. Elena Kolbasova, CEO of MYNEWFOOD Company.

Mama Sita is a Filipino brand of food mixes and sauces which was started by Ms. Teresita “Mama Sita” Reyes in 1980 as a small business. Mama Sita is now recognized as a leading Filipino brand and is available in more than 40 countries. Today, Mama Sita Reyes is a culinary icon in our country. END
