20 September 2016 — In compliance with Article XI of the Philippine Constitution emphasizing the importance of accountability in the Philippine government and the Commission on Audit (COA)’s 2016 Audit Commitments, representatives from COA conducted their Financial and Performance Audit of the Philippine Embassy in Muscat and the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) on from September 04 to15.
The COA Audit Team was composed of Director Villa De Jesus Bernaldo, Supervising Auditor, and State Auditors Maredith A. Brazal and Adolfa A. Creayla.
The COA Audit Team’s Entry and Exit Conferences were held on September 04 and 15, respectively, and attended by the concerned officials and personnel of the Embassy and POLO.
The COA Audit Team audited the cash and property accountabilities of the accountable officers of the Embassy and POLO, budget utilization and monitoring, and performance audit on selected areas of operations like the overseas voting and assistance to nationals, among others, for the period of November 02, 2014 to September 04, 2016.
The last COA Audit was conducted on October 13 to 24, 2014. END
