26 September 2016 — The Philippine Honorary Consulate General in Santa Cruz, Bolivia participated in the “III Encuentro De Paises Solidarios Unidos Contra El Cancer En Santa Cruz, Bolivia” (3rd Meeting of Countries United in Support Against Cancer in Santa Cruz, Bolivia) alongside 27 other foreign communities at the Convention Center of Los Tajibos Hotel in Santa Cruz on August 30.
The event, organized by La Legion Cruceña de Combate al Cancer (Santa Cruz Legion Against Cancer), promoted the understanding of different cultures, values and customs of the participating countries through art, folklore, and cuisine. This is in addition to informing the participants on the fight against cancer.
Philippine Honorary Consul General Luis Emilio Raul Kieffer led members of the Filipino community in the event. A selection of iconic Filipino cuisine such as menudo, pancit and adobo was served to the guests. END
