17 October 2013 – The Philippine Consulate General in Macau SAR gave a boost to the campaign “It’s more fun in the Philippines,” in the recently concluded Macao International Travel Expo held from October 11 to 13 at The Venetian-Macau.

The Consulate’s booth at the expo was designed to resemble a souvenir shop similar to those commonly found in Boracay and Puerto Galera, with the stretch of the Panglao Island beach in Bohol as the backdrop.

Macau Phl Tourism promotion3The ‘shop’ displayed items like shirts, handicrafts, caps and bags with “It’s more fun in the Philippines” logo aimed at promoting the Philippine tourism brand to travelers.

The Consulate’s booth gave out information on visa, travel routes and destinations, as well as flight schedules from Macau to Manila.

The Macao International Travel Expo is the first tourism fair to be jointly organized by the Association of Macao Tourist Agents, Macau Travel Agency Association, Travel Industry Council of Macau, and Macao World Heritage Promotion Association. The event is supported by China National Tourism Administration and the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). END
