17 October 2013 – Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) based in Haifa availed themselves of consular services when the Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv conducted a mobile service at the Haifa’s St. Joseph Latin Parish on October 12.
Led by Consul Lorenzo Rhys G. Jungco IV, the mobile team offered services such as notarials (special power of attorney, affidavit and certification), registration of birth, voluntary registration of Embassy ID, OWWA membership contribution, overseas employment certificate and regularization of contract, totaling to more than 180 transactions.
The Philippine Embassy conducts mobile services in various parts of Israel in line with its objective of making its services more accessible to Filipino workers, especially those who are unable to travel to Tel Aviv due to their work schedule and location.
Haifa is Israel’s third largest city and has the third biggest concentration of Filipino workers numbering more than 4,000. END
