28 September 2016 — The Philippines participated in this year’s International French Travel Mart (IFTM) TopResa at Paris Expo Porte Versaille on September 20.The said travel mart is billed as the top tourism fair of France.

The four-day travel mart, held at Paris Expo Porte Versailles, was participated in by the following Philippine tour operators and resort/hotels: Asiaventure Tours and Travel, Baron Travel Corporation, Corporate International Travels and Tour, Henann Resort, INTAS Destination Management, Manila Hotel Marsman Drysdale Travel, and Travel Experts.

Philippine Secretary of Tourism Wanda Teo led the Philippine delegation during the said event. Philippine Ambassador to France Maria Theresa Lazaro joined the Secretary during the opening ceremony of the said event.

The Philippine booth at TopResa featured daily performances of Filipino “flair tender” Dennis Adiuba and Filipino “human beat box” Neil Llanes in order to promote the country as a ‘fun and hip’ destination.

The Philippines was also highlighted in a parallel event organized by Tourmag, the leading French magazine for tourism professionals.  The tourism soiree was held in Paris on September 21. END
