28 September 2016— The Philippine Embassy in Brunei Darussalam conducted a lecture-forum on Health and Wellness and on the Menace of Illegal Drugs at the Chancery on September 16.
Consul Melvin C. Almonguera, in his opening remarks, highlighted the need to maintain one’s health for the benefit of their families’ back home. He also apprised them of the Government’s all-out war against illegal drugs.
The lecture on Health and Wellness was conducted by Dr. Maria Pureza Aurelio-Fontelera, a Filipino doctor who is currently a medical officer at the Occupational Health Division of Brunei’s Ministry of Health. On the other hand, the Embassy’s Defense and Armed Forces Attaché, Col. Ernest Mark P. Rosal spoke about the Menace of Illegal Drugs.
The Embassy regularly conducts GAD activities that promote gender and development issues for the benefit of Filipinos in Brunei. END
