29 September 2016— Philippine Acapella group, Acapellago, bagged the first place during the AKA A Capella VIII Asia Pacific A Capella Championship League (APACCL), an invitational vocal competition at the Singapore Conference Hall in Singapore on September 24. 

Other acapella groups from the Asia Pacific region that participated were Senza A Cappella (Hong Kong), Pop Phone Singers (Taiwan), Summer  Singers A Capella Band (Malaysia), Drums of War (Australia) and The Usuals (Singapore).

Other awards won by Acapellago were given to Ms. Michelle Pascual for Best Lead Vocal and Mr. Ronnel Allen Roman Laderas as Best Bass Singer. Acapellago overwhelmed head judge, Deke Sharon, the Father of Contemporary Acapella and musical director and arranger for the film, “Pitch Perfect” during their performance. END
