29 September 2016— The first Kabayan Corner-Ask Atty. Barney / Isumbong mo kay ConGen was launched recently at the LBC Smart Shelter-Al Rigga, Dubai in order to promote the Philippine Government’s proactive role in serving the Filipino people.  The Kabayan Corner is composed of a drop box, and a tablet which contains the basic laws of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The project was first introduced during the Philippine Independence Day Reception on September 06.

Consul General Paul Raymund P. Cortes led the launching of the Kabayan corner through a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the presence of Mr. Mr. Allan Michael Bautista, Sales & Marketing Senior Manager of LBC, and Atty. Barney Almazar, Director of Gulf Law.

The Consulate General encourages all Filipinos to utilize the tablets and be informed of the basic laws in the UAE and to send their concerns to either Gulf Legal Advice or to the Consulate General if they have other inquiries.

More Kabayan Corner projects will be opened in Satwa, Karama and Deira. END
