30 September 2016 – Philippine Ambassador to Oman Narciso T. Castañeda recently received the representatives of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) on a working visit to Oman.
The PhilHealth Team, composed of Department Manager Henry V. Almanon, Social Insurance Officer Renato S. Bristol, and Clerk Michael N. Tomas, informed the Ambassador that they will undertake an information drive, enroll new members, and issue Member Data Records (MDRs) and identification cards to current PhilHealth members. Members of the PhilHealth Team will also join the Embassy’s Consular Outreach in Salalah on September 30.
Ambassador Castañeda welcomed PhilHealth’s initiative of extending its services to the OFWs in Oman and acknowledged its goal of ensuring that every Filipino has fair access to health services.
A PhilHealth service/information desk will be set up at the Consular area of the Embassy on September 29 and October 03 to serve OFWs for the duration of PhilHealth’s visit in Oman. END
