30 September 2016— The Philippine Embassy in South Korea conducted a two-day Consular Outreach Mission in Mokpo, South Jeolla Province on September 23 and 24. The province is home to 1,665 Filipinos as of December 31, 2015.
The consular mission was held at the Mokpo Catholic Culture Center in coordination with the Mokpo Filipino Organization (MFO) under the leadership of Ms. Emily Cho. The six-member team was led by Third Secretary and Vice Consul Lyza Maria S. Viejo.
Volunteers from the MFO provided coordination and logistics support. The consular team processed a total of 111 consular services, including passport applications, civil registration, notarial services, and travel document applications. END
