30 September 2016 – The Lonely Planet: Philippines (Hebrew version) was launched at the Philippine Embassy in Israel before a packed crowd from Israel’s top travel and tour agencies.

Philippine Ambassador to the State of Israel Neal Imperial co-launched the book with Philippine Honorary Consul for Ashdod and Southern Israel and Chairman of Ophir Tours, Ltd., Mr. Boaz Waksman during a tourism seminar on the Philippines attended by more than 40 travel operators in Israel.

In his remarks, Ambassador Imperial said that “The Lonely Planet Book: Philippines (Hebrew version) is expected to contribute to the growing interest of Israelis to visit the Philippines with its complete and detailed information about the country.”

Consul Waksman spearheaded the publication of the Hebrew version of The Lonely Planet Book: Philippines which is the first and only travel guidebook about the Philippines in the Hebrew language. About 4,000 copies of the book are now being sold in all bookstores in Israel including Steimatzky, the leading bookstore in the country. END
