CHIC OUT

03 October 2016 — The consular team from the Philippine Consulate General in Chicago conducted a full consular outreach service – a first in recent memory – in Greater Kansas City on September 24.

Held at the Filipino Cultural Center in Overland Park, Kansas, the home of Filipino community activities in the Greater Kansas City area, the services provided include 154 e-Passport applications, 30 dual citizenship applications and 50 documentation services.

In continuation of the Consulate General’s partnership with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), Mr. Michael Werner of the NLRB Sub-region 17 participated in the event to promote workers’ rights under federal laws.

Dr. Mila Lopez Tiojanco, Chair of the KAGFC Board; Mr. Kevin Bautista, KAGFC President; and Ms. Maria “Bing” Sakach, Outreach Coordinator and past KAGFC President, were all on hand, together with a number of kindhearted volunteers from the community, to deliver much needed support to the consular team.
