07 October 2016 – The Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu welcomed a delegation from the Armed Forces of the Philippines Command and General Staff College (AFPCGSC) who paid a courtesy call on PH Consul General Gina Jamoralin on September 27 during their visit to Hawaii as part of AFPCGSC Class 61 Foreign Academic Travel to Hawaii. The study trip is an educational opportunity for 29  AFP Student Officers, 1 Foreign Officer from South Korea, and AFPCGSC faculty to exchange views and ideas with their US counterparts on defense and security issues and to network with US Pacific Command (USPACOM) and other academic institutions in Hawaii.

The delegation was headed by Brigadier General Reuel Sorilla, AFP who was accompanied by Dr. Theresita Atienza from Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) and  Ltc.Prudencio Patricio Jr. as faculty members and Ltc. Constancio Espina, PA as student.

The AFPCGSC is one the training institution of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. It provides education for future operational commanders as well as command level staff, and developing doctrine, training materials and courses for the AFP. END
