Guangzhou new entry-exit administration law seminar

21 October 2013 – The Philippine Consulate General in Guangzhou conducted a seminar on October 13 about the New Entry and Exit Administration Law  and the Supplementary Regulations of the People’s Republic of China.

The seminar was attended by members of the Filipino community, and the Consulate’s officers and staff. It was in response to the call of the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangdong Province and the Provincial Public Security Department of Guangdong to educate the nationals of each Consulate in Guangzhou about the implications of the new law to the entry, stay and exit of foreigners.

The important provisions of the new law were discussed during the seminar, particularly the new visa categories, processes for renewal of visa, registration of residence, mandatory periods for renewal of visas and registration of residence, among others.

The Filipino community was informed about the services of the Consulate to address the stringent regulation and other assistance it can provide to ensure compliance. The concerned officers and staff of the Consulate were on hand to respond to the inquiries and provided additional information about its various services.
