13 October 2016 — As part of the City of Carson’s continuing celebration of Filipino-American History Month (FAHM), officials from the Philippine Consulate General participated with a Philippine booth at the event of the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce – South Bay Los Angeles Area (FACC-SLAA) held at the SouthBay Pavilion Mall in Carson, California on October 08.

This event was initially celebrated by the City of Carson in October 2010.  FACC-SLAA officially took over its organization in 2011.  The celebration of FAHM at the South Bay Pavilion Mall was a free event with live entertainment including singers, dancers, martial arts demonstration and magicians.  Vendors from across the South Bay LA area also had their booths to offer their products and services to the attendees.

The Consulate’s booth featured Philippine products as well as promotion of Philippine tourist destinations.  Information about dual citizenship was also provided by Consulate officials.  Filipino-Americans who visited the booth appreciated the informational materials and brochures provided on Philippine tourist destinations and dual citizenship which they can share with their family and friends.
