14 October 2016 — The Consulate General of the Philippines in Osaka received more than 400 applications during its 3rd consular outreach mission in 2016 in Kyushu, the southern island of Western Japan. The outreach mission was held at Sazanpia Hakata in Fukuoka Prefecture in cooperation with the Filipinos and Friends in Fukuoka, led by Ms. Grace Tomita on October 08. The Philippine Consulate General has conducted two other consular outreach missions this year in Kyushu, one in Oita and the other in Hiroshima.
A total of three hundred seventy (370) ePassport applications were processed, thirty-one (31) Special Powers of Attorney, acknowledgements affidavits, NBI clearance, and two (2) civil registrations. Filipinos from Oita and Nagasaki Prefectures also availed of the said services.
For 2016, a total of eight (8) consular outreach missions were conducted by the Philippine Consulate General in Osaka in its jurisdiction in Western Japan, five in Chubu area ( three in Nagoya City and two in Gifu Prefecture) and three in the island of Kyushu (Hiroshima, Oita and Fuluoka). END
