21 October 2013 – As part of the initiative to maximize the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh’s reach to be able to serve the consular requirements of as many Filipinos, particularly those working and residing in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Region, the Embassy conducted the first of three additional “Embassy on Wheels” (EOW) in Al-Khobar.
The EOW was held at the Al-Jazeera International School in Dammam on October 18 and 19.
The other two additional EOWs are slated for November 15 and 16 and December 20 and 21, also at the Al-Jazeera International School.
During the two-day event, a total of 410 applicants were able to renew their passports. The EOW team also processed 49 notorials applications and six (6) Reports of Birth. It issued one (1) Travel Document and extended the validity of the passports of 26 applicants.
Due to an incident which occurred on October 18, which led to the uncovering by Embassy personnel and the volunteers of the illicit activities of a certain Sunny Robredo (a.k.a. Nasanciano Robredo), the public is reminded to directly approach Embassy personnel regarding queries and other matters relating to the consular services.
The Embassy would also like to encourage the public to report cases of swindling or “fixing”. The public may reach the Embassy at tel: 482-4354, 480-1918 or email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. END
