24 October 2016 –Philippine Ambassador to Australia Minda Calaguian-Cruz led the Philippine Embassy in the Walk of Nations at Floriade in Canberra, Australia on October 14.  The Philippine Embassy joined several other Embassies on a 45-minute early morning walk around Floriade, Canberra’s biggest flower festival held annually.

The Heart Foundation ACT, a charity partner for Floriade 2016, initiated the Walk of Nations to engage the diplomatic community and local organizations to help promote the benefits of walking for the health of the heart. The walk covered 3.5 kilometers amidst the picturesque grounds of the flower festival.

The Ambassador met Mr. Tony Stubbs, CEO of Heart Foundation ACT on October 21 to express the Embassy’s full support for the Foundation and hand over a contribution from the Philippine Embassy personnel. END
