25 October 2016 —The Philippine Embassy in Amman held its Team Building Activity from October 20 to 21 in Wadi Rum, Jordan. Wadi Rum, also known as The Valley of the Moon, is the largest desert valley in Jordan. The desert is famous for being the setting of “Lawrence of Arabia,” among other Hollywood films.

A group of 21 Embassy personnel participated in the Team Building Activity, which included mountain climbing, a camel ride, and a meditation session in its 2-day program. The team also had an immersion session on Bedouin life and culture, participating in a cooking demonstration of zarb, a Bedouin style barbecue with vegetables cooked in a large underground pit. The Team Building Activity also included a tour of Wadi Rum to learn more of Jordan’s history and natural beauty. END
