26 October 2016 — For the first time, the Philippines had a country pavilion at Marché International des Programmes de Communication (MIPCOM), the world’s largest entertainment content market across all platforms. For four days, Philippine animation studios had several B2B meetings to promote the country’s animation to global content buyers.
At the sidelines of the MIPCOM, the Philippine delegation also had meetings with the French Association of Animated Film and the Network of French Animation Schools in order to invite the French to participate at Animahenasyon, the Philippines’ own animated film festival, and to establish partnerships in higher education and training.
