26 October 2016 — Philippine Ambassador to Thailand Mary Jo A. Bernardo-Aragon paid a courtesy call on and met with Prof. Pornpetch Wichitcholchai, President of the National Legislative Assembly (NLA), at the Thai Parliament Building, on October 11. The two officials discussed general areas of bilateral cooperation and looked forward to further strengthening relations between Philippines and Thailand.

Also present during the courtesy call were Mrs. Bilaibhan Sampatisiri, Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Member of the Thailand-Philippines Parliamentary Friendship Group; Mr. Witawad Boonyasatid, Vice-chairperson of the Thailand-Philippines Parliamentary Friendship Group; Mr. Anusart Suwanmongkol, NLA Member; Mrs. Wararat Atibaedya, Secretary-General of the NLA; and Mr. Phicheth Kitisin, Foreign Affairs Expert of the NLA.
